Aparna Shah

Aparna graduated as a physiotherapist in 2002 and has dedicated her career to working with diverse populations, including orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and geriatric patients. Her passion lies in helping individuals with movement disorders, ranging from adults recovering from stroke to children with cerebral palsy.

Introduced to Pilates through her mother's journey with menopause-related depression and osteoporosis, Aparna discovered its profound impact on the body's inner unit and overall well-being. Inspired by the transformative effects of mindful exercise, she pursued formal Pilates training as an instructor. Aparna utilizes Pilates exercises to restore mobility and enhance quality of life for her patients, including rehabilitating spinal cord injury patients and empowering those with low confidence and brittle bones.

Aparna holds a Masters of Health Science from the USA and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from India. She is a Master Instructor and Faculty Educator for Balanced Body Pilates, conducting training courses through The Movement Academy. Her expertise spans adult and pediatric musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological rehabilitation across all ages, rehabilitative Pilates and gyrotonics, dry needling, and kinesiology taping.

As a physiotherapist, Aparna focuses on empowering her patients toward independence, while as an educator, she thrives on sharing knowledge and fostering learning.

In our commitment to providing comprehensive sleep solutions, we collaborate with experts like Aparna, who shares expert insights on choosing mattresses for children, drawing on her extensive background in physiotherapy, Pilates, and pediatric rehabilitation to ensure optimal comfort and support for young sleepers.
